(1) found成立;建立;創辦。build也有“建立”的意思。但兩者存在區別:found多指機構、團體的建立，而build則多用于建筑物。

(2) quit有“放棄:退出，辭職”的意思，可作及物動詞也可作不及物動詞。此外，quit可接動名詞，表示“放棄或停止做某事”。常見搭配有:to quit doing something halfway有頭無尾。quit與resign都表示“辭職”的意思，quit是非正式說法，而resign是正式說法。
